“God Doesn’t Make Junk”
Jim is a Memphis native, but moved to Wisconsin when he was 13 years old. In 2000, he moved back to Memphis to get away from his addiction. When he arrived to Memphis he knew he was where God wanted him, as he saw a beautiful rose bush in the middle of February. Two years later, he found himself lonely, unloved, and hopeless. Then Jim came to MRC. He learned “God doesn’t make junk” and felt a vast amount of love and care. Jim has been sober for over 13 years. He has been an MRC employee for more than 11 years, working his way from Monitor to a LADAC Counselor in MRC’s Adult Program. Jim is married to his beautiful wife, Pamela, who is currently working on her PhD. He has seven daughters, two sons, and a Pomeranian named Bruster.
